In early 2021, EDP Global Solutions (formerly EDP Valor) asked us to create a superhero animation video illustrating how the company overcame the COVID-19 pandemic.
Initially, the briefing was to create a generic hero symbolizing the company that would “fight” the pandemic. However, as we spoke to the client, we realized it would be a fitting tribute if everyone were represented by that hero.
Since creating a single hero catering to diverse differences would be challenging, we proposed creating 14 custom superheroes, one for each department and one representing the company. Thus, a super team was born!

To create one-of-a-kind superheroes for each department, we needed to figure out what they were good at. Since we couldn’t meet in person because of the pandemic, we made an online form for department heads to fill out. They could either choose three superpowers they’d get in 2020 or write them down themselves.
All the choices had a humorous caption and it proved to be a hit since we got all the responses in less than a week and we had all we need to start to create this super-team.
The super team
These heroes were a true team, each bringing their special skills to the table. They faced challenges head-on and kept EDP – Global Solutions moving forward. Thanks to their hard work, they weathered the storm and came out stronger than ever. Their dedication and teamwork show us how much a diverse group of people can achieve when they work together towards a common goal.

The movie was a such a success and everyone loved it so much we were asked to fill the company headquarters with their super-heroes.
And so after the end of the quarantine and the day before people started returning to the office we went to every story and department of Global Solution and mounted super-heroes to the walls.
